Summary
This course is designed to ensure that People Managers have the knowledge and understanding of employment law issues to be able to deal with any issues that arise on a day to day basis. This course will ensure that Managers have the knowledge required to comply with all employment legislation.
At the end of the programme participants will:
- Understand what is required in the area of employment law contracts
- Be able to discipline with results
- Have the ability to handle any grievance that arises
- Be clear about obligations in the area of working time, annual leave and public holidays
- Have knowledge of all new pieces of legislation
- Create a workplace that promotes and is mindful of Dignity at Work

- Have an overall ability to be able to answer queries and questions in the area of Employment Law

Approach

Claire Jones
Claire is a Senior Executive working in Ibec Academy. Claire has worked in Ibec for more than 20 years and worked in the Legal Department within Ibec prior to moving into Ibec Academy. Claire is currently lead trainer and course Director on a number of diploma, certificate and short programmes for Ibec Academy. She specialises in the areas of employment law, human resource management and industrial relations.
