Summary
A comprehensive, accessible one-day programme on the new Senior Executive Accountability Regime (SEAR) for financial services providers. SEAR has been introduced by the Central Bank of Ireland to improve performance and accountability.
At the end of the programme participants will:
- Understand the definitions, objectives, and scope of the new SEAR requirements
- Identify where responsibility and decision-making lie within their firm, so as to ensure compliance with the new requirements
- Start to design, draft, and decide how to implement a comprehensive plan for their firm to comply with SEAR requirements
This programme is for:
Directors and senior managers of financial services providers, including: banks and other credit institutions; insurance companies; insurance brokers; mortgage brokers; investment advisers and intermediaries; advisers and consultants to financial services providers.
Approach
The programme will follow a logical sequence to ensure that participants are led, first, to a sound understanding of SEAR; and then to acquire the knowledge and tools to plan for compliance. Accordingly, the programme will explain the main elements of SEAR in order to (a) identify the specific requirements for compliance, and (b) how to document the firm's compliance plan.
