A critical conversation is one where the outcome is perceived to be important. This programme is designed to help participants become more effective and productive in such conversations.
At the end of the programme participants will:
- Be able to participate in critical conversations in a confident and assertive way on the phone, in small or large groups, in formal or informal settings
- Assess the participants in a conversation and present a case in a way that is more likely to appeal to them
- Know when to “speak up” and when to “shut up”
- Have confidence to make their case in the presence of more senior people and with difficult people
- Know how to prepare and present their case, demonstration or point of view
- Learn when and how to “Say No!”
- Have the skills to answer those difficult questions

Approach
This 1 day workshop is highly interactive and practical. The use of practical exercises will ensure a high degree of participation and self-learning applied in a real way. A flexible approach will be used throughout and priority will be given to the interests and learning of the group.

John Lambert
Training on behalf of Ibec for many years, John delivers training on various aspects of Management, including Foundations in Management, Managing People, Performance Management, Managing Conflict and Time Management. Having over 25 years of management experience at a senior level in industry, John brings this knowledge and experience to the classroom in the delivery of courses.
John holds a Bachelors in Business Studies from Trinity College, and a Professional Practice Certificate in Training & Development from IIDT. John has a Strong analytical style with methodical, dedicated and result orientated approach.
